The Elements World Theatre presents
The Old Woman Who Lived in a ...
A New Fable with Drama, Poetry and Live Music
By Lee Gershuny | Directed by Corinne Harris
Supported by the Edinburgh International Centre for Spirituality and Peace, EICSP, Scottish Charity, SC038996.
Following the premier at the 2011 Middle East Festival, this production is now showing on the Edinburgh Fringe, and touring more widely.
Whatever happened to the children that ‘The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe’ beat black and blue? This new fable, by an award-winning playwright, picks up the action 20 years after the nursery rhyme ends, with the now grown-up children hungry for revenge. But before they can do their worst, a mysterious Waiter enables them to break the spell of past pain with storytelling, music and a cauldron of tricks.
